The singles draw for the BNP Paribas Nordic Open has been made. Swedish wildcard players Leo Borg and Elias Ymer have a particularly tough challenge ahead in this year's star-studded edition. Leo Borg has been drawn against the in-form Frenchman Alexandre Müller, who reached the round of 16 at the Shanghai Masters earlier this week. Should the 21-year-old Swede cause an upset, world number six Andrey Rublev awaits him in the second round. Sweden's number one, Elias Ymer, didn't have an easy draw either. Last year's BNP Paribas Nordic Open quarterfinalist will face the fifth-seeded Chilean, Nicolas Jarry, in the first round. Ymer has shown on several occasions that he thrives in front of the home crowd at the Royal Tennis Hall, most recently when Sweden defeated India in the Davis Cup a month ago. The top four seeds in the draw have byes in the first round. All of them are among the world's elite. Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, and Grigor Dimitrov are all top 10 players, while Tommy Paul is close behind. The main event of the 55th edition of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open starts on Monday. On Sunday, qualifying continues along with a family day filled with exciting activities.
