To elevate the visitor experience and reach a new audience, BNP Paribas Nordic Open is launching a strategic collaboration this year with Digital New Agency (DNA Media), IngagerSports, and A World Beneath (AWB). This marks the first time the tournament has brought together three agencies in a joint effort to develop the event both strategically and communicatively.
"Nordic Open is the world’s oldest indoor ATP tournament, attracting around 30,000 visitors annually. With DNA Media, IngagerSports, and AWB by our side, we are taking a significant step forward in creating a holistic experience that engages fans beyond the tennis court," says Rasmus Hult, CEO of Nordic Open.
The tournament, previously known as Stockholm Open, has been a stage for the world’s biggest tennis stars since 1969, featuring legendary names such as Björn Borg, John McEnroe, and Roger Federer. Since 2023, the tournament has been called BNP Paribas Nordic Open and is played, as always, at the prestigious Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm.
"Nordic Open holds a strong position in the Swedish sports scene. We look forward to strengthening the brand’s presence and contributing to the tournament’s continued development," says Carl-Johan Löfvenborg, CEO of DNA Media.
"We will make Nordic Open content addictive—packed with energy, humor, unique moments, and a level of player proximity that makes fans feel like they are there, even through social media. More than just tennis. We want to attract them to follow the matches and visit the Royal Tennis Hall. Every major tournament, World Cup, and European Championship wants to make its presence felt in the city, but today’s town squares are Instagram and TikTok. That’s where everyone should feel that Nordic Open is happening," says Jimmy Jakobsson, founder of IngagerSports.
"Nordic Open is one of Sweden’s most prestigious sporting events, and we are proud to be part of this year’s initiative. We see great potential in merging a classic sport with new pop culture influences to attract more people to discover the tournament," says André Moritz, strategic project manager at AWB.
BNP Paribas Nordic Open will take place from October 11–19 at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm.
