Defending Champion Tommy Paul Confirmed for Nordic Open – Returns to Stockholm to Defend His Title

Tommy Paul has been confirmed for this year’s BNP Paribas Nordic Open in Stockholm. The 27-year-old American, ranked No. 15 in the world, claimed the title last year after defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the final and now aims to defend his crown. Paul has shown strong form throughout the season and will be one of the main attractions when the 56th edition of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open takes place at the Royal Tennis Hall from October 11–19.

"I’m really excited to come back to Stockholm to defend my title. Winning here twice already has been very special, and I’m looking forward to competing again in front of the Swedish fans,” said American tennis star Tommy Paul.

Paul joins a strong field that includes Casper Ruud and Mikael Ymer, who is making his comeback. As the defending champion, Paul enters the tournament as one of the top favorites. Nordic Open Tournament Director and three-time Stockholm Open champion Thomas Enqvist welcomes the news.

"We are delighted to welcome Tommy back to the BNP Paribas Nordic Open as he returns to defend his title from last year. After another fantastic season, and with a spot at the ATP Finals in sight, Tommy brings both his incredible athletic ability and charismatic personality to Stockholm, making him a true fan favorite,” said Thomas Enqvist, Tournament Director of the Nordic Open.
