Tennis star Casper Ruud returns to Stockholm – World No. 5 seeks redemption at the Royal Tennis Hall
World No. 5 Casper Ruud, the top-ranked Nordic tennis player, is confirmed for BNP Paribas Nordic Open 2025. The tournament will take place from October 11–19 at the historic Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm. Tickets will be available starting Friday, April 4.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome World No. 5 Casper Ruud to BNP Paribas Nordic Open 2025! Casper is one of the world’s best players and a fantastic ambassador for the sport. We look forward to seeing him compete at the Royal Tennis Hall and giving our fans an unforgettable tennis experience,” says Rasmus Hult, CEO of BNP Paribas Nordic Open.
The Norwegian star has had a strong year behind him. After reaching the quarterfinals in last year’s tournament, Ruud is now eager for revenge.
“The Royal Tennis Hall is an amazing venue, and competing in the Nordics with the support of the crowd is always special. I’m motivated to improve on last year’s result and ready to give my best effort and fight for the title," says Casper Ruud.
The 25-year-old Ruud has been ranked as high as World No. 2 and has claimed 12 ATP titles. He has also reached three Grand Slam finals—twice at the French Open and once at the US Open.
“We are very proud to have Casper back in Stockholm this year. He has had a fantastic season so far and is one of the biggest and most popular stars on the ATP Tour,” says Thomas Enqvist, Tournament Director.
Tickets for the 56th edition of this Swedish tennis classic go on sale on April 10 and will be available for purchase via Nordic Open.
