Top 10 players Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov are two of many headline names in this year’s star-studded ATP tournament. This became clear after the list of registered players was finalized on Wednesday.

With two Top 10 players, the in-form Tommy Paul and Alexei Popyrin, rising stars like Brandon Nakashima and Luciano Darderi, as well as Grand Slam champions Matteo Berrettini and Stan Wawrinka, there is no doubt that a true tennis festival awaits at the Royal Tennis Hall from October 12-20.

- We are incredibly proud to present such a strong and versatile lineup for this year’s BNP Paribas Nordic Open. Having players like Casper Ruud, Grigor Dimitrov, Tommy Paul, Alexei Popyrin, Matteo Berrettini, and Stan Wawrinka in the tournament is a fantastic confirmation of the tournament’s international status and appeal. This will be a year to remember for both players and spectators, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to a spectacular tennis experience, commented Rasmus Hult, CEO of the organizer of BNP Paribas Nordic Open.

All directly qualified players are ranked within the Top 70 in the world, which is exceptionally strong from a historical perspective. The entry list is topped by Norway’s pride, Casper Ruud, who among other accomplishments, has three Grand Slam finals on his resume. The immensely popular world No. 10, Grigor Dimitrov, will also compete. The smiling Bulgarian won in Stockholm in 2013 and is one of the few players to have reached at least the quarterfinals in all Grand Slam and Masters tournaments.

Alexei Popyrin will make an exciting appearance in the 55th edition of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open. Popyrin has been the name on everyone’s lips in recent months, thanks to his major victory in Montreal and his sensational win against Novak Djokovic at the US Open.

Tommy Paul, Brandon Nakashima, and Luciano Darderi are three other players who likely have their best results ahead of them. These future stars will be challenged by experienced players like Matteo Berrettini, David Goffin, Cameron Norrie, and Stan Wawrinka, who have all spent extended periods in the world’s Top 10.

- I’m incredibly happy and proud to present a fantastic lineup for our wonderful tennis audience. We have two Top 10 players in Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov, as well as last year’s winner Tommy Paul, who is chasing a spot in the ATP Finals. Additionally, we have Matteo Berrettini and Stan Wawrinka, two fan favorites and superstars who will also elevate the tournament, says Thomas Enqvist, three-time champion and Tournament Director of BNP Paribas Nordic Open.
